Outpatient Wellness Services
Walgwan center is committed to improving access to culturally grounded wellness services for First Nations and Inuit youth living throughout the surrounding region.
Our Outpatient Wellness Services provide flexible, community-based support for young people who may not require residential care or who would benefit from ongoing services while remaining in their home community.
Working collaboratively with youth, families, schools, health professionals, and community partners, our outpatient team provides individualized care that promotes wellness, strengthens protective factors, and supports long-term healing.
Outpatient Services Include:- Individual wellness and counselling sessions
- Substance use counselling
- Mental health and emotional wellness support
- Brief intervention services
- Family counselling and support
- Wellness planning and goal setting
- Crisis support and follow-up
- Care coordination and referrals
- Collaboration with schools and community services
- Cultural and land-based wellness activities, where appropriate
Our outpatient services provide timely access to care while strengthening supports already available within the community. Youth may access these services independently or as part of a broader continuum of care that includes residential services, virtual care, aftercare, and outreach.
By offering services closer to home, we help youth remain connected to their families, culture, school, and community while receiving the support they need to achieve lasting wellness.
